Do your research for the requirements that you'll need to do to have your plant thrive. Some plants require extra TLC and other plants don't need to be fussed over. With more experience you'll easily be able to know which plant needs what treatment.

Don't Overwater

The most important thing to note is that you never want to overwater your plant. One of the most common mistakes we see new plant parents make is giving their plants too much water. A good rule of thumb for most plants is to water when 50% of soil is dry. Plants do not like to sit in soggy soil, so make sure you are dumping out the excess water from the saucer after watering.

Choosing the Right Spot

Choosing the right spot for your indoor plants begins with choosing the right plant for the light you have. Different plants thrive in different light areas. Most plants enjoy Bright-Indirect sunlight while others can tolerate Bright or Low light. So, pick a plant that would go well in your space.

Be Patient with Change

Some plants take time to acclimate to their new environment. If a few leaves drop off in the first couple of weeks, don’t panic! Most likely, this is perfectly normal and is just a sign of your plant adjusting to its new home.
